The Liebster Award

So today I received a nomination to for the Liebster Award by the lovely La Vie Cece! From my understanding the Liebster Award has been likened to the same chain mail where you answer questions and set your own for other bloggers. 

Some people might find this to be an annoyance but I think it is a lovely way for new kids to the blocks (like myself) to interact within the blogging community. It creates awareness for your own blog, it creates awareness for others too, and it is all in the name of good fun.

So the rules for the award are as follows: 

1. Post a short Questions & Answer about yourself provided by the person who nominated you

2. Nominate others you think deserve the award (preferably 11 people)

3. Ask them 11 questions of  your own

4. Notify them so they can answer your questions!

So here are the questions sent to me by La Vie Cece: 

1. If you could pick a superpower what would it be?

If I could pick a superpower I would pick telekinesis. I think the ability to move objects with your mind would be the most awesome thing ever. Ever sat down and remembered you left the TV remote elsewhere? Or could not be bothered with making dinner? It might be messy but I am sure that with the right amount of brain training it could be perfected. And who needs to fly if you can have a magic carpet, or invisibility if you could move objects around and freak someone out. Is it a ghost? Nope just my telekinesis, bitch!

2.. What is your favourite make-up brand and why?

I would probably say Benefit is currently my favourite make-up brand. I love their brow zings kit, big beauty eye and smokey eyes palette, and most of all their magic ink liquid eyeliner.

3. If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go?

Definitely Japan, I have dreams of visiting all over there from the modernised Tokyo to the more tradition Kyoto. I just love cherry blossom trees (I even have certain tattoo plans), and the culture in Eastern Asia. I also enjoy seafood so living on fish for a short while would not be a problem for me. 

4. What's your favourite time of the year?

May. Well, in between spring and summer. May is my birthday month and it generally has lovely weather - sunny with a light breeze. Blossom trees blooming, and lots of greenery just ready to bud, little lambs in the fields, and days where you attempt to make it summer already by heading to the beach, yeah it is a great time of year. Shame about University ( and in the past school) examinations just happening to occupy this time too.

5. What's the most disappointing product you ever bought and why?

It is actually a product by my favourite make-up brand. In fairness, my high expectations might of what made it seem like a greater disappointment. It was the hello flawless oxygen wow foundation by Benefit. Now let me tell you my skin was anything but 'flawless' in this foundation. The first complaint was that the lightest colour available (ivory??) was too dark for my skin tone, and too make matters worse during wear it oxidised to a more orange colour. It also predisposed my skin to breakouts. I was overall unhappy with this product, and I was shocked to feel this way since I really like the brand benefit.

6. If you could only wear one item of make-up for a whole week, what would you choose?

Easy, my liquid eyeliner. Back in my 'emo' or 'scene kid' days I could not go a day without my winged eyeliner. I still love love love having cat eyes.

7. Are you an early bird or a night owl?

Definitely not an early bird - I rather dislike mornings! I would say I'm more of a night owl, on the other hand I have been falling asleep a lot earlier than I used to. Can I say I'm a cat? I just love napping.

8. What career would you choose if you could be anything in the world?

If I could be anything in the world I would probably be a veterinary surgeon. I used to want to be a vet 'when I grow up' when I was many years younger. Then for a long time I wanted to be a neurosurgeon. Now I am studying Neuroscience & Psychology, and as much as I find it endlessly fascinating and would love to be a Neuropsychologist I am really passionate about animals.

9. What's your favourite food?

What a difficult question! I am probably just going to be boring and stick with my sweet tooth - chocolate.

10. What's your favourite outfit?

Anything that goes with my trusty Jeffrey Campbell Lita Spikes.

11. Who is your favourite person in the world?

I refuse to pick one so I am going to say my mum, my boyfriend Sam & my best friend since I was around 8 year old Emma. There are some other particular people that I absolutely love and they know who they are.
