BEAUTY FORMULAS REJUVENATING GLORIOUS MUD FACIAL MASK

Hello everyone, sorry this post is later than usual I have been caught up with so much university work this week! So today I am going to talk about this facial mask I bought in passing a few weeks ago. It is called Rejuvenating Glorious Mud by Beauty Formulas. I picked it up in Bodycare on a spur of the moment for 99p, you can also find it on amazon for Ā£4.25. However, I'm sure any of you who want to try it out will go for the cheaper option!

Description:

  • 100% pure clay formula to help remove dirt and excess oil from the skin's surface
  • absorbs impurities & unclogs pores
  • leaves skin softer and smoother for a fresh healthy glow
  • suitable for all skin types
Directions:
Apply to clean dry skin on face and neck areas (avoiding the eyes) allow to dry for 10-15 minutes. Rinse with warm water. Pat skin dry.

My Impressions of the Product:
It had a lightly fragrances scent. It was easy to apply and goes on my skin smoothly. My skin felt tight by the end of the 15 minutes, and when the mask rinsed off my face felt very clean. Once dried my skin was very soft and smooth and oil free, which is what I was looking for in a face mask for periods of combination skin. However by the next day I had broke out in patches of eczema all over my cheekbones. The first time I tried the mask I did not direct blame to it (as an eczema sufferer I know it can be down to all sorts of things so it is very hard to pinpoint breakouts), but the second time I tried the product I discovered that I was definitely mildly allergic to it as the same patches of raw eczema appeared around the same place on my face.

This product is definitely a miss for me. It does control excess oil but it isn't worth the repercussions to my skin for the next few days. I have heard good reviews elsewhere on the same face mask, so it might be down to my skin being particularly sensitive and more prone to dry patches.

Have any of you guys got a recommended product for oily skin phases?
