NAKED SMOKY

When Urban Decay announced that they were bringing out a new Naked palette specifically for smoky eye looks I almost squealed with excitement. Yes, the name naked and smoky is a contradiction at best  but I'm a huge fan of the good old smoky eye. It all roots from getting my first black eyeshadow at 13 and going a bit crazy with it, I was/still am an alternative gal ultimately. I prefer a darker look for nights out, and I have to say Urban Decay have nailed it with their newest release from the Naked range!
There are 9 brand new shades and 3 exclusive in the Naked Smoky making the price tag well worth it. In the eye palette, there are 4 shimmer, 4 satin and 4 matte eyeshadows - the perfect balance for a variety of smoky eye looks. I love that there are a range of undertones throughout the darker shades, there is both warmer and cooler tones which gives the palette a good colour range for different skin tones. My favourite shade of the bunch is Smolder because that purple undertone is oh-so-beautiful!

High | cream shimmer
Dirtysweet | medium bronze
Radar | metallic taupe
Armor | metallic silver-taupe
Slanted | light metallic grey
Dagger | medium charcoal
Black Market | jet-black satin
Smolder | deep plum-taupe
Password | cool taupe matte
Whiskey | rich brown matte
Combust | soft pink-taupe
Thirteen | light beige satin

The dual-ended brush that came with the palette is slightly different in shape to the other Naked palette brushes I have received. Instead of a flat brush like before it is round. On one end, there is a smaller detailer brush for the crease of the eye and underneath, and on the other side a fluffy brush to blend with ease. So far I have been loving experimenting with darker make-up looks again, and hope I don't speak too soon when I say it is my new favourite out of the collection. Naked Smoky gets a massive gold star from me.

Have you tried out the new palette? Or are you not overly fussed on the smoky eye look?

I haven't tried out this palette yet. The colors look beautiful, but I'm more into neutral eye looks so I'm not sure if I will be adding this to my collection yet :-) x
