Turning 21, and wearing a Tulle Skirt

Leather Jacket: ASOS (similar) | Top: American Apparel | Skirt: Etsy | Shoes: Zara | Watch: Caravelle New York

On Tuesday this week, I turned 21. And although I am not an American where the milestone has greater significance. I am feeling kind of old. I'm in my twenties, and my teenage years are way behind me. I'm not overly sure what I'm doing with my life, or what I want to do career-wise. There is a pressure of feeling behind others e.g. many 21-year-olds are busy graduating from university and I am only part-way through my Psychology degree. This is my last young milestone, and from now on as each year passes I will probably feel this same panic on my birthday whether I have achieved enough in my life so far. Have I travelled to places I want to see, am I earning and saving enough money to do the things I want to do?  I'm like an adult now with responsibilities and things
I can already feel the increased expectation from others (predominantly family members) looming with the dreaded questions of "where are you going with your life?", "what career path will your degree qualify you for?". Yikes. In the grand scheme of things 21 is a baby and I have plenty more experiences to come, so it is fine if I'm not 100% certain of what I want to do when I grow up.

Regardless, I had a really lovely day and made it my excuse to put on my beautiful bouncy tulle skirt. Whilst wearing the skirt I felt like a Disney princess or a ballerina. I couldn't help but spin around. For some, the idea of wearing a skirt this big during the day is a little out there, but I disagree it totally dresses up this striped crop top and has the potential to very versatile. Hello, denim skirts for during the day, and lacey tops or corsets for the evening. I'm tempted to start a collection of tulle skirts with blush pink, and black as options. I paired the ultra feminine skirt with a leather jacket to toughen up and the look.
My parents totally spoilt me with presents - I'm so in love with this rose gold watch by Caravelle New York - a closer image can be seen of it below. I have also been after YSL Black Opium Eau de Toilette perfume for months. It is oriental floral/fruity which is right up my street. I'm sure I will post a full review soon.
What are your thoughts on tulle skirts for spring? Tell me below!
