PRODUCTS I WOULD NOT REPURCHASE #1

So everybody knows that bloggers love to rave about their favourite products, but what about products that were a miss? I personally think these reviews can be equally as helpful. Hence, I have decided to occasionally share products that just did not suit me.

John Frieda 'Colour Renew' Tone-Correcting Shampoo & Conditioner.

So when I decided to go blonde late last year I decided that a purple shampoo is a must. Unfortunately the formula for this shampoo may be purple but it does not seem to tone those annoying brassy tones, at all. I found that in comparison to other John Freida such as the brilliant brunette shampoo and condition the smell of the colour renew wasn't that pleasant either. I much prefer a shampoo & conditioner that a) does the job that it claims and b) leaves my hair smelling great. Is that too much for a girl to ask for? I hope not. I find it quite upsetting as I have loved using other products by John Freida in the past.
My favourite budget buy purple shampoo is Provoke: Touch of Silver twice a week shampoo, and for when I feel like splashing out Fudge Clean Blonde Violet Toning Shampoo. Just remember to pair these with a moisturising conditioner.

Simple Purifying Cleansing Lotion
So in a previous post, I recommended this cleanser for those with dry and sensitive skin. I now retract my statement about this cleanser. When I was a young teen it worked for my skin, but now it seems to break me out. Not a desired effect from a product which is meant to clean your skin from dirt and impurities. I have found Lush's Ultrabland Facial Cleanser a much better alternative for my skin. I do however still use Simple's eye make-up remover which is wonderful at removing products like mascara.

Body Shop Tea Tree Skin Clearing Facial Wash
I wanted to love this product as Tea Tree is so good for skin. It has natural anti-bacterial and is great at clearing blemishes. It does clear my blemishes but it also seems to break out my skin. Therefore, I would be stuck in a routine of using it to clear my skin only for it to become dry and spots to appear again. No thanks, I'll stick to applying tea tree oil with a cotton bud to affected areas only in future.

With all of these products, I pretty much used them up to confirm that it wasn't me being impatient or other factors were affecting my skin/hair. I hope this is useful for anyone thinking of buying any of these products and has dry, sensitive skin or trying to get their hair white blonde or silver.
