Hello Corinne: THE BODY SHOP HAUL

THE BODY SHOP HAUL

Hello everyone, so last weekend I got a £25 voucher for the Body Shop if I spent up to £50, and I could not resist restocking on some beauty products! I ended up buying several products; a small tub of body butter, a hand care treatment, body lotions, some fragrance mist, clay mask and a facial wash.

Vitamin E Hand & Nail Treatment : this is a lovely light yet really moisturising hand cream. It has a faint floral (almost rose) scent. It is really great because you only need a little amount for application so the tube will last for awhile. I find that in AW my skin gets dried out and becomes more prone to eczema outbreaks, so this little beauty gem is a lifesaver for my hands. It also contains glycerin, vitamin E and panthenol which supposedly increases nail flexibility to reduce breakage.

Coconut Body Butter : the majority of people that shop at Body Shop love their body butters, and I am not exempt. I adore trying out the different beautiful smelling products to treat my skin with some much needed TLC. This time I choose the coconut body butter which has the most amazing tropical coconut scent. The smell reminds me of Pina Colada cocktails in the summer which will remind me of warmth during the cold winter months.

Strawberry Purée Body Lotion : since running out of my beloved mango whip body lotion I decided that I wanted to try out a new scent. In the knowledge that I like the other strawberry scents, I thought I could not go wrong with the purée lotion. However, to me it does not smell like strawberries it just smells like Calpol (to those that don't know what calpol is it is medicine containing paracetamol in a strawberry syrup). It isn't a bad scent, but it wasn't what I was expecting. Next time I will buy their strawberry sorbet which with any luck smells more like real strawberries, or strawberry sweets rather than Calpol!

Mango Whip Body Lotion : this is one of my all time favourite fruity smells. The lotion is so lightweight and moisturising it is fabulous. It is a really beautiful mango scent which just pops when you rub it into skin, sometimes I don't bother putting on perfume after applying this lotion because the scent stays throughout the day and smells lovely.

Japanese Cherry Blossom Fragrance Mist : sometimes I feel like spraying some lightly fragranced mist onto my clothes and/or just generally having a lightweight scent. I am absolutely in love with this fragrance. It is both floral and slightly fruity smelling and is refreshing when applied. This is honestly my new favourite day scent.

Seaweed Ionic Clay Mask : I was a bit vary about buying this product as the last clay mask I used I was mildly allergic to, however I confirmed that this was just due to my sensitive skin and took a leap of faith. I'm now so glad that I did. This product is super smooth to apply, and when removed makes your face feel really clean and smooth. I found that the day after my skin still felt amazing. I really like the body shops seaweed range as it seems to be very agreeable with my skin.

Tea Tree Facial Wash : tea tree is one of those oils which has numerous wonderful properties that make it great for skincare. When my skin decides to have any breakouts I will be ready on hand with this facial wash to help cleanse the skin. I will be sure to review this product once I have tried it out a few times!

The Body Shop and Lush are two of my Christmas favourite as they always come out with awesome limited edition beauty products around this time of the year.  They make great gifts for others, as well as a gorgeous treat for yourself. I'll be sure to pop back in when the sales come on!
